The Jowett Jupiter, made by Jowett Cars Ltd in Idle, near Bradford, took to the roads in 1950. The 2-seater drophead coupe was powered by a 1486CC engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox and had a maximum speed of around 90 mph. Its statistics also included a 0-60 in 18.0 second ratio and a 25mpg fuel consumption. Costing £1086 on the road, including taxes, only 900 were made before production ceased in 1954.
Inbright red livery with a beige hood in the upright position and ivory panel gap beading to the body. The exterior trim is finished in either silver or chrome, including the strip down the centre of the bonnet and the centres of the otherwise red wheels. The interior has light beige seating, door panels and flooring with a detailed brown steering wheel and dashboard. Note the cream switches on the dashboard too!
